Why do we Feel Lonely? ( part 01)

Humans are social beings by nature. With the presence of people around them, they exchange support, companionship, and love. However, there may come a time in a person’s life when they feel loneliness. Why?

1. Loneliness is strange to human nature.

2. Humans are accustomed to receiving validation from others.

3. Loss of love and care from their surroundings.

4. Feeling different from those around them, even if they are loved.

5. Lack of reinforcement of individual self-identity.

6. Lack of a purpose the person strives to achieve.

7. Dependence on the presence of others for their happiness.

8. Lack of friends.

If a person doesn’t know how to cope with loneliness, it can have negative effects on his life and sometimes even destroy him by developing negative traits such as selfishness, hasty judgment of others, refusal to accept their opinions, or experiencing nervous breakdowns or depression.

1. How can we resist the feeling of loneliness?

2. Enhance the individual’s self-identity, seeing oneself as whole and complete.

3. Accept the differences of others.

4. Be a source of happiness, security, validation, and love for oneself.

5. Change the negative perception of loneliness.

6. Sometimes, loneliness can be an opportunity for self-reflection and self-discovery. Having talents or goals in life brings positive energy to one’s life.

7. Open up to forming new friendships because life is never devoid of beautiful people.”
